Suzy Powell Secures Her Spot on 2008 Team

American record holder Suzy Powell-Roos threw the discus 62.92m/206-5 on her fourth attempt and will be on her way to Beijing to her third Olympic Games. After 3 rounds, Suzy was in fourth place before unleashing her best throw catapulting her to 2nd place. Suzy is the fourth ASICS Track & Field athlete to earn a spot on this year's Olympic Team joining Marathoner's Ryan Hall and Deena Kastor and Heptathlete Diana Pickler.

Diana Pickler Leads Team ASICS in Day 2 of US Olympic Trials

On a very hot day in Eugene's storied Hayward Field, Diana Pickler ran a personal best in the 800m to earn her ticket to Beijing. With a spot on the Olympic Team on the line, Pickler's time of 2:16.59 was within the 1.5 seconds she needed to finish ahead of the fourth place finisher to secure her spot on the team. Along the way, Diana set a new personal best for the 7 event discipline with 6257 points.

Lolo Jones Makes A Trip Home Memorable

Lolo Jones won her fourth straight 100m Hurdles Drake Relays title on Saturday in meet and stadium record time. The Drake Relays were held in Des Moines, IA, which is Jones' hometown. Jones shattered the stadium record of 12.92 set in 2001 with a finishing time of 12.74 seconds. In other action, Greg Nixon won the 400m in 46.26 seconds and Amy Acuff finished tied for 2nd place in the Women's High Jump clearing 5' 11 1/4".
